Artificial leather A plastic product similar to leather.
Artificial leather is a plastic product that looks and feels like leather and can replace it. It is usually made of fabric as the base, coated with synthetic resin and various plastics.
The second method can also mix and heat the resin and other ingredients, and then press the roller to form a cloth-lined or unlined product. Finally, the roller can be used for flattening or embossing to make products with patterns in various colors.
According to different covering materials, the types of artificial leather are also divided into several varieties:
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) artificial leather:
It is made of a mixture of polyvinyl chloride resin, plasticizer and other compounding agents, coated or attached to the fabric, and made by a certain processing process. In addition, there are also double-sided polyvinyl chloride artificial leathers with plastic layers on both sides of the substrate.
Polyurethane (PU) artificial leather:
Polyurethane artificial leather is divided into dry polyurethane artificial leather and wet polyurethane artificial leather. The so-called dry polyurethane artificial leather refers to a multilayer structure formed by evaporating the solvent of the solvent-based polyurethane resin solution and adding a base cloth to the obtained multilayer film. The wet-process polyurethane artificial leather is a multi-layer structure with good air permeability and moisture permeability, and a continuous porous layer, which is obtained by using solvent-based polyurethane resin and an underwater film-forming method.
Polyamide artificial leather:
It uses nylon 6 or nylon 66 solution to slowly cover the fabric and film to make a plastic product with a continuous cell structure.
Polyolefin artificial leather:
Polyethylene artificial leather is a kind of foam artificial leather, which is made of low-density polyethylene resin as the main raw material, mixed with modified resin, crosslinking agent, lubricant, foaming agent and other components.
According to whether the covering layer is foamed or not, it is divided into foam artificial leather or ordinary artificial leather; according to the purpose, there are artificial leather for shoes or bags.
There is also a kind of artificial leather used to make suitcases called Oxford artificial leather (artificial leather on Oxford substrate). It is a kind of warp-knitted Oxford cloth (fine canvas woven with chemical fiber materials) as the front side and a plastic film as the backing. This kind of harder artificial leather is waterproof, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, beautiful and durable, pollution-resistant, and does not change color. It is a good material for making travel suitcases. The plastic film layer is mainly polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene. The coating method is to coat the ready-made product on the substrate.
BPU zero solvent leather:
BPU zero-solvent leather, as the name implies, is a synthetic leather without added solvents. Solvent refers to: dimethylformamide (DMF), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone (CYC), toluene (Toluene), xylene (DMB), formaldehyde (PA), etc.
The semi-wet sticking process is used to directly stick to the base fabric. The cost of this process will increase, but the advantage lies in environmental protection.
When manufacturing BPU zero-solvent leather, there is no need to build an exhaust gas recovery device, because it does not add solvent, so there is no exhaust gas volatilization.
The new representative of non-toxic, tasteless, environmentally friendly and healthy leather, ensuring good health. A new type of leather with texture and physical properties comparable to real leather.
