Leather Body: Genuine leather feels soft and supple, while imitation leather, though also soft, lacks suppleness and hardens in cold weather. When the leather is bent, genuine leather bends and springs back naturally with good elasticity, while imitation leather bends stiffly and has poor elasticity. Cut Edge: The cut edge of genuine leather shows a consistent color, with clearly visible and fine fibers. However, the cut edge of imitation leather lacks the fibrous texture of leather, or the underlying fibers and resin are visible, or the backing fabric and resin bonding can be seen in two layers from the cut edge.
