Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) artificial leather:
It is a plastic product made by coating or bonding a mixture of polyvinyl chloride resin, plasticizers, and other auxiliaries onto a fabric through a certain processing process. In addition, there is also double-sided polyvinyl chloride artificial leather where both sides of the substrate are plastic layers.
Polyurethane (PU) artificial leather:
Polyurethane artificial leather is divided into dry polyurethane artificial leather and wet polyurethane artificial leather. Dry polyurethane artificial leather refers to a multilayer structure composed of a multilayer film obtained after volatilizing the solvent from a solution of solvent-type polyurethane resin, plus a base fabric. Wet polyurethane artificial leather is obtained by using a water-based film-forming method for solvent-type polyurethane resin, resulting in a multilayer structure with good air permeability and moisture permeability, as well as a continuous porous layer.
Polyamide artificial leather:
It is a plastic product with a continuous pore structure made by a method of coating a nylon 6 or nylon 66 solution onto a fabric.
Polyolefin artificial leather:
Polyethylene artificial leather is a kind of foamed artificial leather. It is made mainly from low-density polyethylene resin, with modified resin, crosslinking agent, lubricant, foaming agent, etc. as components.
According to whether the covering layer is foamed or not, it is divided into foamed artificial leather or ordinary artificial leather; according to the purpose, there are shoe artificial leather and luggage artificial leather, etc.
Another artificial leather used to make travel suitcases is called Oxford artificial leather (artificial leather on Oxford substrate). It uses warp-knitted Oxford cloth (fine canvas woven from chemical fiber materials) as the front and a plastic film layer as the lining. It is a relatively hard artificial leather that is waterproof, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, beautiful, durable, pollution-resistant, and colorfast, making it a good material for making travel suitcases. The plastic film layer is mainly polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene, and is made by applying it to the substrate using a calendering or coating method.
BPU solvent-free leather:
BPU solvent-free leather, as the name suggests, is synthetic leather without added solvents. Solvents include: dimethylformamide (DMF), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone (CYC), toluene (Toluene), xylene (DMB), formaldehyde (PA), etc.
It uses a semi-wet lamination process, directly bonded to the base fabric. This process increases the cost, but the advantage is that it is environmentally friendly.
In the production of BPU solvent-free leather, it is not necessary to build a waste gas recovery device, because it does not add solvents, so there is no waste gas volatilization.
