2. This is not a healthy material for users. This may not be understood by many people, and it may also be influenced by merchants' propaganda, who believe that pure nature is green and healthy. Because leather materials come from animals, they should be healthy. In fact, leather as a raw material needs to go through multiple processing procedures, among which tanning is an indispensable link, and the tanning process is completed with chemical agents. Therefore, some leather seat owners often complain about the smell, which is not to say that the material is not real, but a normal phenomenon;
3. Leather materials are not easily degraded and recycled. Although tanned leather is prone to mildew or rot, it is not easily degraded and recycled, placing a certain burden on the environment;
4. The waste of leather materials is shocking. This point may rarely be mentioned. Take cowhide as an example. A piece of leather is this big. This requires good control over which part can produce what. If the designer or craftsman makes a small mistake, it will cause waste.

3. Artificial leather materials
Artificial leather materials are generally made by bonding woven fabrics with PVC or PU.
The advantages of artificial leather materials are that they are easy to clean and maintain because they have a leather-like surface; the price is very close to people; rich colors.
4. Ultra-fiber materials
Strictly speaking, ultra-fiber materials are a branch of artificial leather materials. The reason why the author lists them separately is that this material is too suitable for use in car interior coatings.
The full name of ultra-fiber material is ultra-fiber PU synthetic leather. The difference between it and traditional Pu artificial leather is that traditional Pu artificial leather is made by bonding woven fabrics with Pu; ultra-fiber materials are made from ultra-fiber needle-punched non-woven fabric base fabric through processes such as soaking and facing.
The ultra-fiber base fabric is made to imitate the microstructure of leather, and its appearance and internal performance are closest to leather.
Ultra-fiber materials are generally divided into suede and leather. Suede imitates the suede of leather; the appearance of leather is similar to leather in the general sense.
Ultra-fiber materials have the advantages of suede and leather that can be said separately.
The advantages of suede are sound insulation, abrasion resistance, high light color fastness; high friction coefficient, high puncture resistance, strong durability; constant temperature ventilation, so the comfort is excellent; mildew proof; rich colors, high appearance value, quite attractive; currently, the main manufacturers of super fibers are aimed at leather. This shows that the environmental protection and health performance of ultra-fiber materials exceeds that of leather.
Due to its good light resistance, heat insulation, mildew resistance, and high color value, it is very suitable as a coating material for car roofs.
Disadvantages of ultra-fiber suede:
1. In fact, it is not easy to clean and maintain;
2. The price is bafflingly expensive.
Advantages of ultra-fiber leather surface: easy to clean; good durability; not easy to mildew and rot; resistant to folding and scratching, not easy to crack, etc.; has environmentally friendly and healthy functions. Therefore, like leather, it is very suitable for covering car seats, center consoles, etc.
Disadvantages of ultra-fiber leather: Unlike ultra-fiber suede, it has constant temperature; in terms of breathability, the current technology is slightly inferior to leather; price factor.
