GRS certification is short for Global Recycled Standard, a recycled fiber verification standard established by the international environmental certification agency Control Union Certifications (abbreviated as CU).

In 2010, Fildi in the United States was the world's first company to obtain GRS certification. The Ecotec recycled cotton blended yarn produced by the company is recycled and spun from "pre-consumer cotton textile waste" discarded from the initial stage of the factory.
